Want to understand Singapore's culture and festivals in the most interesting way possible?

If you do, The Chingay Parade is an event you would not want to miss. The Chingay Parade is one of Asia grandest street and floats parade. It is held annually, and consists of many dazzling, colorful, glitzy floats moving along the streets of Singapore to showcase our country's unique multi-cultural diversity. It is a massive international and multi-cultural occasion featuring the best local and international performer. Being part of the Chinese New Year festivities, Chingay Parade Singapore is definitely an extravagant way of introducing you to Singapore's festive traditions.

The Chingay Parade 2010 was a huge success. More than 60000 people attended the Parade, with 7000 performance from countries like Bhutan, Indonesia and Japan, 17 colourful and glitzy floats with majestic flying horses, strange fantasy characters, traditional dragon and lion dancers, and a magnificant display of the 7 wonders from around the world.

The 2011 Chingay Parade, which will be held from 11-12th February 2011, will be the largest and grandest parade in Chingay history! It will be opening with a Fire Party, and will include the largest moving multi-cultural performances by the different ethnic groups in Singapore, first travelling dance competition within the parade, and a spectacular finale where thousands of performers will flood the parade ground holding candle lights. It will be much bigger and better than the 2010 Chingay Parade.
